Experience counts

Experience CountsWhen it comes to the Bobcat brand, there can’t be many with more experience than Ross Higgins who, with his son John Ross, owns and operates Rossco Bobcats. Based in Christchurch, the business specialises in earthmoving, site excavations, new regulation house foundations and driveways. Over the past 30 years, Rossco Bobcats has owned at least 12 skid steer loaders and two excavators and currently operates a new Bobcat S650 skid steer loader which was purchased from AB Equipment. As a Bobcat man through and through, Ross Higgins is quick to point out the many benefits of the skid steer loader. He describes the S650 as a “beast” and is impressed with it’s manoeuvrability and top-of-the-line operator comfort enhancements that, amongst other things, include superior all-round vision and mutiple protection enhancements.

Since coming into the business, John Ross has been a big fan of the two Bobcat E45 excavators in the fleet. “I am very happy with the performance of these machines,” says John Ross. “We were the first to purchase a Bobcat excavator from AB Equipment after it became the New Zealand distributor earlier this year. The Bobcat E45’s are smooth and quiet to operate and have tremendous digging and lifting performance. Low fuel consumption, impressive tracking performance and space and comfort all add up this is being one tough machine,” he says. Bobcat product specialist for AB Equipment, Matthew Holloway is quick to reinforce the fact the Bobcat brand has a loyal base of customers, which has been built up over many years. “Bobcat owners trust the brand and have a special respect for the equipment that has helped them grow their businesses and support their families,” says Matthew

In an effort to get its database right up to date, AB Equipment currently has a $250 parts and service voucher available to those who register their Bobcat machines. There is a limit of one registration per customer, and some terms and conditions apply.
