Manitou propells itself further into the access market

For more than 15 years, Manitou has designed, manufactured and distributed personnel access platforms and has more recently become a key leader in this market. Not long after the release of the new Manitou Mani Access 280 TJ telescopic access platform, it was awarded ‘Product of the Year’ at an International AWP (aerial work platform) tradeshow.
Now available in New Zealand through AB Equipment the Manitou 280 TJ is certainly impressive and is particularly suited to a variety of industrial applications as well as on construction sites. It has a working height of 28 metres and a maximum outreach of 21.45 metres and can hold 2-3 persons in a large basket measuring 2.30m x 0.90m for improved productivity and reduced work cycle times.
The Manitou Mani Access 280 TJ has a number of other features including; a diesel 45 horsepower engine, continuous rotation, an oscillating axle and 4 simultaneous movements. Add to this a 4-wheel drive, 4-wheel steer and Crab steer and you can understand why the Manitou 280 TJ has already been commended for its overall excellence and superior engineering.
“The Manitou reputation for reliability and quality of IC and electric access platforms has contributed in no small way to the recognition of the Manitou 280 TJ features,” says AB Equipment, Sales and Marketing Manager, Rob Fuller.
“Thanks to the extent of its range, Manitou allows you to choose the platform which best meets your needs, whether it be scissors, articulated or vertical mast types.”
