Nelson Forestry Fieldays October 2024

Welcome to our 1-day emersion on the 17th of October 2024

We will be featuring a New Tigercat L822E Feller Buncher with a Tigercat fixed 5185 Felling Head.

Evening of 16th October

19:00 - You are invited to join us for Dinner at Smugglers Pub & Cafe, 8 Muritai Street, Tahunanui, Nelson, 7011.

Own accommodation.

17th October

08:00 - Meet in the Carpark of the Beachcomber Hotel, 23 Beach Road, Tahunanui for pick up & transportation to the logging sites.

08:15 - Bus departs at 8.15am sharp.

08:45 - 2nd Pick up & Ute drop off at AB Equipment Yard at 24 Main Road, Hope.

09:00 - Bus to Endurance Logging Site Kaiteriteri Forest (approx 1 hour & 5 mins).

10:05 - Arrive at Endurance Logging Site & view: Tigercat LS855C Feller Buncher with a Tigercat 5195 Felling Head, Tigercat LS855E Feller Buncher with Duxson Felling Head, Timbermax T20HD Winch fitted to a Doosan 340LC Excavator, Sumitomo SH240-5TLFS Shovel Logger, Sumitomo SH240-5TLFS Log Loader, Sumitomo SH350 Processor with a Waratah 624C Processing Head.

11:40 - Depart site for lunch at Kaiteriteri Beach. Mid-day arrive at Kaiteriteri Beach for Lunch.

12.45pm - Depart Kaiteriteri Beach for Burson Logging at The Moutere, Ruby Bay Bypass Road.

13:30 - Travel to Sharps Rd, Pigeon Valley, then onto Stags Roading. Arriving at Burson Logging site and view: Tigercat L822E Feller Buncher with a 5185 Fixed Felling Head, Tigercat 625H Log Skidder, Tigercat H855E Harvester with a 624 Waratah Processor, Sumitomo SH300 Falcon Winch Conversion.

15:30 - Depart for AB Equipment Hope, Nelson for a BBQ & Refreshments where you can view some more top Logging Gear.

16:00 - Arrive at AB Equipment Ltd , 24 Main Road Hope, Nelson.

19:00 - The Bus Departs back to the Beachcomber Hotel, 23 Beach Road, Tahunanui for those that want a ride.
