The Sumitomo SH145XU-6 is a highly versatile 14–15 tonne excavator designed for exceptional performance in confined or restricted worksites. With a minimum swing radius and a built in offset boom, it delivers outstanding agility for urban construction, drainage, roading, utility work and other applications where space is limited. The offset boom allows the operator to work closer to structures, trench along boundaries, dig parallel to obstacles and maintain full visibility while reducing the need for constant machine repositioning. Power & Performance.
The SH145XU-6 has an operating weight of 15,300 to 15,800 kg, providing strong stability while still maintaining compact swing performance. The electronically controlled ISUZU engine, paired with Sumitomo’s SPACE 5+ engine system and efficient SIH S+ hydraulics, delivers smooth power, fast cycle times and excellent fuel economy. Multiple operating modes, Automatic Idle, Idle Shutdown and SSC spool stroke control work together to improve fuel efficiency by up to 7 percent compared to earlier models.
Offset Boom Design.
The offset boom’s geometry increases working range and enhances visibility when slewing, trenching or digging alongside walls, banks or footpaths. This reduces blind spots and improves operator control in tight areas. The short tail swing further boosts manoeuvrability, allowing the SH145XU-6 to operate confidently where a conventional excavator cannot.
Durability.
Durability is engineered throughout with a reinforced boom and arm, strengthened upper frame and Sumitomo’s long life EMS lubrication system, which extends service intervals and reduces wear. Ground level access to filters, easy cooling system cleaning and long life hydraulic oil support fast, efficient daily maintenance.
The Cabin.
The ROPS certified cab provides excellent visibility and operator comfort with fluid cab mounts, automatic air conditioning, an ergonomic control layout and a high definition colour monitor. Optional safety enhancements include rear and side cameras and the Field View Monitor, offering a wide 230 degree viewing angle to improve visibility in congested work areas.
